It’s that time of year again. The Spring 2018 trade book fair for western Canada is taking place in Victoria on February 18-20, 2018 and we are as usual looking for your kind donation.

It’s a golden opportunity to generate goodwill for your company among your customers. The usual suspects will be attending: independent bookstores, libraries, Indigo folk, local specialty retailers and BC wholesalers. This is a working fair, and we generate a lot of our sales at this event – another reason why it would be a viable use of your marketing dollars.

You have the opportunity to sponsor the bookseller wine and cheese, the author speed-dating event or the always-vital free coffee for booksellers. We realize there are always demands on your purse strings. So we will accept partial sponsorship for either.  We are a non-profit association, and receive no government funding, so any size of donation is very much appreciated.

So what does this donation get you apart from our gratitude? You will be thanked and listed on all literature pertaining to the book fair, on the WBRA website, and at the announcement made at the Bookseller Dinner reception. We also post signs listing all our sponsors at the registration desk.

So here’s your chance to be a great corporate citizen, and get your name in front of your key customers.

And please feel free to attend! We are always happy to thank our donors in person, and it’s an unparalleled opportunity to get feedback from your customers.

Sponsorship Opportunities:

Please note that partial sponsorship is welcomed on any of these! Also, we gratefully accept any amount you care to donate towards book fair running costs.

  • Coffee for Booksellers (for 2 1/2 days): $1,800
  • Sunday Author “Speed dating” Reception: $5,000

Please notify Jennifer Fyffe (or phone: 778-847-3511), to confirm sponsorship or if you have any questions.

Your cheques can be made out and mailed to Western Book Reps Association, Box #520, 3381 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC V5Z 4R3.

With all best wishes for a profitable spring season and thank you,
The Western Book Rep’s Association
